“Un Mese D’amore” nasce da un’eccezionale collaborazione tra l’artista Drunkenrabbit e la boutique AVERY PERFUME GALLERY in Excelsior. Le opere di Drunkenrabbit dialogano con uno spazio caleidoscopico dagli accenti barocchi e fiabeschi, che sembra nato per ospitarla.

L’artista apre così gli anfratti del suo universo creativo in questa installazione nata per San Valentino, ed ora diventata una mostra itinerante per le varie Avery Perfume Galleries, per la prima volta in una vetrina del centro storico, di fronte al sipario del punto di riferimento milanese per la profumeria artistica.

In “Un mese d’Amore” vengono associati lavori già conclamati a una nuova collezione, tutte opere legate da un comune tessuto conoscitivo, quello dell’indagine introspettiva che precede la rivelazione.

Nel debutto Londinese, Drunkenrabbit presenta la performance BELONGINGS (Effetti Personali). Il termine “Effetti Personali” si riferisce ai nostri propri oggetti che evocano in noi un senso di appartenenza a noi stessi. Effetti personali mostra come prenderci cura di noi stessi. Mettere noi stessi prima degli altri ci aiuta a trasmettere amore verso di noi e tutt’intorno a noi. La giovane donna sottoposta alle cure di Drunkenrabbit altri non è che il suo alterego. Le fanciulle scelte dall’artista hanno sempre la medesima età (l’età che aveva l’artista quando ha iniziato a fare performance), mentre il tempo passa per Drunkenrabbit, non passa per loro. Come avviene ne “Il Ritratto di Dorian Grey” di Oscar Wilde.

“A Month of Love” was born thanks to the incredible collaboration between the artist Drunkenrabbit and the AVERY PERFUME GALLERY boutiques. Drunkenrabbit artworks draw kaleidoscopic spaces devoted to baroque and fairy accents, which are made to host her. Hence the artist opens the gorges of her creative universe in this exhibition born for Saint Valentine’s Day, now it has become a traveling exhibition for all Avery Perfume Galleries.

In “A Month of Love” familiar works have been put together with new pieces of the new collection, they all relate thanks to a common cognitive structure, that is an introspective inquiry which then ends with a revelation.

In the London debut, Drunkenrabbit will feature a live performance called BELONGINGS. The term “belongins” refers to a person’s personal possessions, in a way that does justice to the gesture of belonging to something or someone. Personal belongings make us aware of what it means to take care of ourselves: putting ourselves before other people in order to feel happy and transfer joy to those around us. Drunkenrabbit, the artist presenting at this new Avery event, typically chooses to depict girls with characteristics similar to his own, but of an age similar to his when he first started performing. Youth is a recurring theme in all his artworks, just like in the painting of Dorian Gray.
